Naismith has also represented Scotland at various age groups but hasn't had much first team experience. He spent the first half of the season on loan at Morton but made just a handful of appearances, while he's only featured a couple of times for Saints.
The teenager has now gone on loan to Buddies boss Danny Lennon's old club until the end of March. He was named in the starting line-up for this evening's game against title chasing Partick Thistle along with fellow on loan Saint Jon Robertson.
