The young defender only made his first start for the first team in the abandoned game against Ross County, keeping his place for the rematch and the win over Partick Thistle. In that time he has done well at rightback, bombing up and down the park and putting in some good crosses.
It's good to see young players rewarded with new contracts and hopefully the fact his future is secure will allow Naismith to develop even more. Let's hope this is the first of many contract extensions we see in the next few weeks, with Sean Kelly and the more experienced Kenny McLean the next youngsters to sign on.
