Nigel making plans to go elsewhere

Buddies boss Danny Lennon had been keen to keep Hasselbaink and countryman Jeroen Tesselaar but the manager revealed a few weeks ago discussions with the pair's agent had hit a snag. Written offers were again made this week with talks set to resume after yesterday's match against Aberdeen - in which Hasselbaink was dropped to the bench.

However, Hasselbaink today retweeted a link to an interview with himself on a Dutch football website (the link has since vanished from his timeline). Putting it through a translator on Google reveals that there is a good chance he will leave Saints, the club has made a number of offers with which he is not happy and other clubs have already been in contact about signing him.

Nigel has become a fans favourite since arriving from Hamilton last summer and scored eight goals over the course of the campaign. He has plenty of pace and is also strong and capable of making good runs. On his day he is unstoppable and it will be extremely difficult finding someone to replace him.
