The Irishman had been linked with a move to the Buddies yesterday as his contract at Rochdale is due to expire in the near future. According to one paper it was almost a done deal, but instead he has decided to stay in England.
Another rumoured transfer target has also found another club. A few days ago there were suggestions we were after Oldham's Adam Rooney, but the former Inverness Caley Thistle striker opted for Aberdeen instead.
There's little more than a week left in the transfer window so let's hope we can get a couple more signings in before it shuts.
