No Shimmin deal

Shimmin played against Dumbarton, Stirling Albion and Blackpool - although missed today's game against Darlington - over the past ten days or so and seemed to do well. He had previously been on trial with Morton, where he also impressed, but they were unable to afford his wages.
With Shimmin not being signed, Saints are still desperately in need of another centre half, along with a right winger. Shimmin's fellow trialist, a mystery Spaniard, played today but no decision has yet been taking on him.
