Corcoran arrived in the summer of 2005 from Hamilton and played few games until the winter, when he suddenly came alive and turned out to be a real talent. A fantastic run of form saw him score a number of goals and put in a legendary performance against Motherwell in the Scottish Cup as we pulled off a major upset. Last season he didn't feature much but became a bigger part of the team this season.
On his day, he was a fantastic player and one of the best wingers in the country. However, that day didn't come often enough - which is why he was playing for us. The return to Hamilton should see him gain more first team football and he'll probably come back to haunt us at some stage.
We now need to sign both a left and a right winger in the summer, but we don't need to go looking for a new, thug of a striker. Hamilton (the player) signed in January from Dunfermline and has done alright, scoring against Hearts and playing well against Falkirk on Saturday. His experience should help the team and while keeping him for another season isn't exactly an exciting piece of news, it's not exactly a disasterous piece of business either.
In other "ins and outs" news, David van Zanten still looks set to leave while Andy Dorman - who has been a fantastic player since his arrival in January - will not be leaving in the summer.
