The idea is simple - two sets of fans bid for a chance to play on the pitch, with money raised going to the youth development set-up. It's not the first time this has happened, although in the past it was organised by the St Mirren Independent Supporters Association (SMISA) rather than the club itself.
This year's game will be played on Sunday, May 12 - the day after our final home game against Aberdeen. The teams will be managed by first team boss Danny Lennon and his assistant Tommy Craig, with Danny even making an appearance as a player at one point! As an added bonus the winners will be "presented" with the League Cup and everyone will get their picture taken with the trophy.
The bidding process is rather odd - instead of everyone making offers as the prices go up, people have to make a silent bid and hope theirs is the highest. A bit silly considering previous events have involved a simple auction.

If this is too expensive or too energetic for you then don't dispair. For the next few days fans are being given the chance to play for free in the new dome covering the five-a-side pitches behind the away stand. Anyone interested should call 0141 840 6131.
