Due to some bizarre SFL rules, clubs can effectively ignore the transfer window and sign players on "emergency" loans, which the rest of us thought used to apply just to keepers but now seems to apply to whoever the hell you want.
McCay signed up until the end of next season yesterday, which is when Molloy's contract is also due to end. McCay has only made a few appearances this season, while midfielder Molloy has struggled with injuries for the last 12 months or so. The move should allow them to gain fitness and experience while helping Stirling in their bid to avoid relegation. The pair could make their debuts against Morton tomorrow and will link up with fellow former Saints youngster David McKenna.
Let's just hope these departures don't damage our quest to win the reserve league!
