Players On Trial

There have been stories about Whalen coming on trial circulating for the last few weeks now, and this story on The Official Site confirms this. I know nothing about him, however if he's anything like some of the other Livingston rejects he shouldn't be too bad at all.

Penman has recently been released by Everton. He wasn't a first team star, playing in youth team games and reserve games, but they obviously felt he was past it at 20, considering Wayen Rooney is in their first team at 17 years old ;-)

Whether one, or both of these players will be signed remains to be seen. However, along with the Scott McLean rumours, it shows that Saints are definitely looking for new players. It would also seem we can sign at least one of these two, as it has previously been stated we wouldn't let anyone train with us without a view to signing them.
