Potter had six seasons at Saints after joining from Clyde in 2005 before being released at the end of last season. The centre half - who was captain for three of his years in Paisley - was surprised to leave as he had previously been told he'd get a new deal. Now it seems he's found a new club.
If Potter does pass his medical, it will be the second player the Pars have signed from Saints in the last few weeks after capturing keeper Paul Gallacher. With Chris Smith and Gary Mason on their books, it seems Jim McIntyre quite likes signing folk who are used to playing in black and white stripes! And ironically, they'll all face us in Fife in the first game of the season.
