Jose Quitongo was released at the end of last season along with 6 other players (which became 7 with the departure of Hugh Murray). He was set for a move to CD Badajoz in the Spanish Second Division, one below La Liga with Barcelona and Real Madrid. This would have been a major step up considering former Raith Rovers, and now Dundee, winger Nacho Novo came from the Spanish fourth division! Everything was looking set and Quitongo was set to leave Scotland.
Now Mirren Mad has discovered, using it's sources, that Quitongo is currently training with Kilmarnock. This makes sense as when he was at Hearts, Jim Jeffries was the manager. Jeffries is now in charge at Killie. if Quitongo was to sign for them he'd meet up with another recently departed Saint, Barry McLaughlin.
While Quitongo was poor at Saints, he did play well at Hearts, and everywhere else he's been in Scotland. He could start producing the goods again under his old manager, and he could also haunt us in the cups. As long as he's not playing for us I don't care!
P.S. I am aware I said earlier there would be no exclusives. Well, I lied :-)
