St Mirren must pay a £25,000 fine for only including one under-21 outfield player in their squad for the Scottish Cup against Spartans.
Competition rules stipulate that all sides must have at least two outfield players under the age of 21.
St Mirren did have two under 21 players in their squad but one of them was a goalkeeper.
The club were not aware that it had to be two outfield players.
The match supervisor and the referee didn't notice the error either.
At the end of the day, it was an honest mistake and the fine surely doesn't fit the error.
Unfortunately, St Mirren can't appeal this decision as there is no right to an appeal.
The Real Football Phone In believe the punishment is grossly unfair and we urge the SFA to reconsider.
If you also believe that the SFA should look at the case again then please e-mail us now and we'll pass it on to the fooball bosses at Hampden.
Thanks
