Taking Falkirk, Raith Rovers and St. Mirren for the moment, to keep St. Mirren up two wins would prove to be enough. If Saints won two games between now and the end of the season, then Raith Rovers would be unable to catch us even if they won all their games. Falkirk would have to win all their games to have any chance of staying up, something which I feel is highly unlikely, given their current form at Brockville.
Something which could help Saints is the Airdrie v Partick Thistle game this Saturday. If Partick win they are champions, and may go easy the next week against Saints. It's a good chance to pick up some points so lets hope Partick wrap it up on Saturday.
But it might not even matter by then. If Saints beat Ayr United on Tuesday, and Arbroath on Saturday, and Falkirk lose, it is official that St. Mirren will be playing First Division football next season. Lets hope it happens!
