No doubt this will leave a lot of supporters in trouble with their other halves, although they could take them along. We are playing at Love Street on Valentine's Day after all.

The gate prices are the normal first division ones, with it costing £13 for an adult to get into the North Bank or Reid Kerr Stand, and £15 to get into the Main Stand or Caley Stand (where the Spartans fans will be). Many Saints fans are unhappy with these high prices when we are playing a non-league team, but the club have stressed it was not their decision and they wanted to charge a straight tenner. Don't expect the press to pickup on this bullying of Saints by Spartans...

Saints could face explusion from the Scottish Cup for fielding an ineligible squad against Spartans, although a fine is more likely. The squad is supposed to contain two outfield players under 21, and ours only contained Charlie Adam plus goalkeeper Chris Smith.

Motormouth Spartans co-manager Mike Lawson said that this was pointed out to referee Charlie Richmond before Sunday's game, but the referee believed no rule was being broken. Lawson added: "You've got to ask yourself, what chance do St. Mirren have if the refs don't know the rules?"

A valid point, for once, from Lawson. Makes a change.
