The first half was poor with not much happening, but both teams stepped it up for the second half. There were a few chances for each side, with Annand missing some absolute sitters, before Baird scored a screamer from the edge of the box with his left foot with ten minutes left. In the final minute, Baird crossed for Annand to head home a simple goal.
It was a good performance from the Saints side, with Baird, Russell and Ellis all doing their chances of a game against Hamilton on Saturday no harm at all.
