It had originally been thought that Robb would get a new, one year deal. However, it was announced today that it's only a six month contract and will expire at the end of December. Clearly, Saints boss Danny Lennon is worried about Robb's injury record and the terms means if he continues to pick up knocks he can be let go, while if he performs well he can be kept.
This is probably the best move for both parties as when he's fully fit, Robb is an asset to the team - but he is injured far too often, especially when you consider the size of our squad.
