Mirren Mad understands that Luton Town are interested in one of Ian Ross or Martin Baker. As both of these players are left sided it is clear that the English Third Division side need someone to play down the left.
Ross signed for Saints from Motherwell at the start of the 1999/2000 season and was outstanding. Every time he scored Saints won by at least 5 goals, and we have never lost when he scored. Unfortunately he picked up an injury at the start of our season in the SPL, and his absence for most of the season is thought to be one of the main reasons Saints went back down.
Baker, on the other hand, has not played often for Kilmarnock since a bust up with Bobby Williamson last year after he was left out of the league Cup final. He is reportedly being released by them soon so could prove to be the better, and cheaper option.
