Falkirk's reluctance to keep Ross seems a bit strange. He's a decent player, he captained the side until January and has been a regular for them this season. It would be a good signing for Saints and add some more experience to the side, while providing a decent replacement for David van Zanten, who is looking likely to leave. There is apparently competition from newly promoted Hamilton for his services and a few other clubs will probably start sniffing around now.
Hamilton (Jim, rather than the club) was signed from Dunfermline in January until the summer. He hasn't done too badly and scored against Hearts, so is perhaps worth a new deal. A one year contract is likely to be on the table and his experience and physical presence should help.
Both these stories are apparently in today's Daily Star. While that might seem like a fairly unreliable source, they have a rather good track record when it comes to rumours about Saints!
