Saints 1-0 Morton

Last updated : 27 July 2002 By Stuart Gillespie
The first half saw Mark Yardley and Cameron come closest in a scramble, before Denham somehow injured himself at a corner, showing the fears over injury proneness may be true. He was replaced with Richard Robb. Cameron was then lucky not to be sent off after a shocking challenge on a Morton player, which ended up injurying himself. He was replaced by Simon Lappin.

For the second half Robb and Lappin were the only survivors, the other 9 being youth players and thanks to a Graham Guy free kick, which took a slight (read massive) deflection, Saints won 1-0 though a draw would have been fairer.
