MacPherson expressed his disappointment at the situation following the recent defeat to Rangers. He was clearly unhappy with comments made by an assistant referee, but felt there was no point doing anything as McVicar - who is the refereeing chief - would do nothing about the situation.
Aberdeen manager Jimmy Calderwood revealed in his column in the Daily Record that the pair are set to meet to talk over the problem. He also revealed that a get-together was arranged by the SFA between the SPL managers and the referees at the start of the season, but only Celtic manager Gordon Strachan turned up.
