Airdrieonians went bust in 2002. They tried coming back as Airdrie United, taking the vacant spot now in division 3. They were denied and took over Clydebank and got back into division 2, minus all their debts! I was delighted when Brechin came up instead of them.
As a result, Saints have never met Airdrie in this format and it will hopefully be a good game.
