Pre-season training is due to begin a week on Monday, 26th of June, yet the first friendly won't be until Saturday July 15th when we take on Stirling Albion at Forthbank. There will then be five friendlies in just over a fortnight, with the final one taking place a few days before the season starts
The second week of pre-season sees the players go to Austria for a training camp. With this being a chance for the players and team to bond, it would make sense if there were another few additions to to the squad before this time. However, with there only being a fortnight until the players fly out, this may be asking a bit much.
There is no news as to who the closed door game is against, howevere there's a good chance it could be against Queen's Park at Lesser Hampden as the last two summers have seen a similar fixture.
Saints full pre-season friendly schedule is:
Saturday 15th July - Stirling Albion at Forthbank, kick off 3pm
Tuesday 18th July - Ayr United at Somerset Park, kick off 7.30pm
Wednesday 19th July - Dumbarton at the Strathclyde Homes Stadium, kick off 7.30pm
Saturday 22nd July - Morton at Cappielow in the Renfrewshire Cup Final/Friendly, kick off 3pm
Tuesday 25th July - Partick Thistle at Love Street, kick off 7.30pm
Kick off times are subject to change, although the two games on Saturday will almost certainly start at 3 o'clock.
Meanwhile, Saints should find out who they start their SPL campaign against this Thursday when the fixtures for all four divisions are announced.
