Saints Handed Trip To Perth

It seems we are jinxed with cup draws this season. In the League Challenge Cup we drew Queen of the South away, meaning we play them away two games running (although the games are split by about ten days due to international fixtures) and now we'll play St. Johnstone twice in a short space of time.

Considering what happened in a few of the battles of the Saints last season there's a fair chance some grudges and the like could be carried from the league match into the cup tie. With the draw being seeded, we were never going to get an SPL team as we were in the top half of the draw, but a home tie or one closer to home would have been nice.

The match will be played on August 24th.
