Saints boss Danny Lennon said last week he was interested in two players from Ireland, although it seems they were from the Northern part of the country, rather than the Republic where Galway play. Buddies assistant boss Iain Jenkins yesterday admited there had been contact with United about signing the players, so it seems the interest is real.
Flood is 25 and is reasonably tall and has a half decent scoring record, scoring seven times in 15 games for Galway this season. O'Donnell - not to be confused with the midfielder we just released - started his career with Arsenal and spent a few years with Falkirk before going to Ireland.
Not much else is known about them and it'll be interesting to see how things develop.
