For the last few weeks all we have heard is stories about leaving - and there's still a few more of those to come. However, we have at last been linked with a player and it's one that could do a decent job for us.
Harkins is currently in his second spell at Dens Park, having helped them avoid relegation to the second division in the 2010/12 season despite them being docked 25 points. He then moved to Kilmarnock and had a good first season there before returning to Dundee in January, signing a deal until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old has had a few fall outs during his career, one of which led to his exit from Rugby Park. However, on his day he is a great player and could be the ideal replacement for Paul McGowan - if he can produce the goods consistently and we can sort the attitude and fitness problems fans of his former clubs claim he has.
