McAllister was supposed to sign for Celtic this week, however decided against the move as he wanted to play more first team football than they were prepared to offer. Norwich City are the frontrunners for his signature, and there is also interest from Cardiff City and Derby County as well as St. Johnstone.
Realistically, if any of the non-Scottish trio want McAllister enough he'll go there. The only reason he would come to us is if we could offer him guaranteed first team football.
Saints are the only team currently being linked with Scullion, who could be a more interesting option. Like McAllister, he has scored 13 goals this season - but the Dungannon Swifts website claims he's a midfielder. A goalscoring midfielder is something we deseprately need, and he could prove to be a decent addition to the squad.
Saints have also been linked with a move for Newcastle's Kris Gate, although he is likely to go to Gretna.
