You can't really blame him for choosing the Dons over both Saints and Kilmarnock (among others). Aside from the wages, he'll be going to a side chasing Europe and will be able to remain on the East coast. He'll also be linking up with his manager at Dunfermline, Jimmy Calderwood.
Saints are in desperate need of boosting their striking options, and not just because goals have been hard to come by. Top scorer John Sutton missed Saturday's game with a virus, Stewart Kean is out for another few weeks whilst Billy Mehmet is not fully fit. Combine that with the fact Brian McGinty is out for a month, John Baird is still on loan at Stenhousemuir - and rumours regarding an injury to Alex Burke - and we are left with just Mark Corcoran and youngsters like David McKenna for the next few weeks.
