Earlier today I posted that the Daily Record claimed he was on his way north after agreeing terms with the Highland club, but something has changed and he has signed a two year deal at Love Street.
The former West Ham United player (in the same way that Junior Mendes is a former Chelsea player) is a big striker which is exactly what we need with the new season starting in a few days time. He didn't score many goals whilst at Dunfermline but has a presence in the box and seems to be able to hold the ball up well. If he can head and finish decently then we could have got ourselves a great player. The Dunfermline fans seem to think so.
The irishman is not expected to be Saints last signing of the summer, with some Dunfermline fans claiming Noel Hunt could follow Mehmet to Love Street. other rumours suggest the loan signing of Millwall's John Sutton and the usual story of Dundee United's James Grady moving to his hometown club in the near future.
