Saints Sign Reid

Despite not having played a competitive match since last season, Reid did well before collapsing with cramp (which is understandable). His appearance was due to injury to right wing back David van Zanten and other injuries.

Reid can play at right wing back or on the right of midfield, and possibly up front. He has been without a club since Hibs released him last summer, although he has been training with Saints for most of the time and has played a few reserve games.

Reid's permanent signing will probably spell the end for at least one of Ricky Gillies and Mark Crilly in the summer.
