According to a Ugandan website today, Kizito - capped more than 30 times for his country - will sign for the club if he passes a medical and can get a work permit. It is expected the SFA will help with the latter, with the Home office expected to turn down the initial bid.
Kizito only joined Partizan Belgrade in the summer, but was punted last month after heading off on international duty earlier than he was supposed. The 29-year-old has spent the last seven years of his career in Serbia so a move to Scotland might be a bit of a culture shock!
While we could do with strengthening the defence, Jeroen Tesselaar has been doing just fine at leftback so it's hardly the most pressing area needing reinforcements. Quite how much truth there is in this is anyone's guess, although it is possible Uganda boss Bobby Williamson has been touting him to Scottish clubs.
We'll treat this one with a pinch of salt for now.
