The cost of transforming the area will be around £3million, which will be paid for by the council and various other bodies, such as SportScotland. Saints will pay an annual rent and maintain the ground.
On offer will be a state of the art training complex, including facilities for youth events and fitness classes in the pavillion, and a full sized artificial pitch which will be used by schools and the public.
Saints will use grass parks there for training.
This is fantastic news for Saints, as the current training facilities are little more than public parks. The only strange thing (apart from the fact this wasn't leaked onto the internet first!) is that such facilities were supposed to be part of the plans for the new stadium...
