Scrimmy left Love Street two years ago, much to everyone's relief. He looked good early on in his Saints career, and had a great game against Morton at Cappielow in a 3-0 win. However, he got gradulay worse and it's a wonder how he was able to keep Ludovic Roy out of the team for the first half of the 1998/99 season! Our worst runs of form in the next two seasons just so happened to be when Scrimmy was in goals. Hmmm.
I noticed a few weeks ago that the Queens Park manager felt Scrimmy had cost them about 15 points last year and couldn't believe he'd been in the Scotland under 21s, which shows he wasn't just bad with us.
Renfrew are apparently just one club chasing Scrimmy, with Kilbirnie Ladeside and another junior club also interested in his services. God knows why.
