Season ticket prices up but shirts for kids

The normal early bird offers are once again in place and anyone who buys their ticket before the end of the month can do so for £295. That compares to £250 for last season so it's a fairly hefty increase of £45 - more than £2 per home game. That suggests normal ticket prices will also go up and the club will probably argue these are the first increases for some time.

The other argument may be the increases are to offset the deals on offer for kids. There is now a free child's season ticket for under-12s - and three free tickets in the family stand. Making things even better the first 1,000 people getting a free kids' ticket with their adult one will receive a voucher for the new home shirt - in a kids size of course!

So good news if you're a kid, not so good if you're anyone else. Prizes have effectively gone up for disabled fans as well with carers now having to buy their own season ticket rather than getting in for free.
