According to The Sun, we are after former Rangers striker Michael Mols and former Hearts and Leicester man Mark de Vries. The pair are currently team mates in their native Holland, although the club they were with last season was relegated.
Mols has expressed a desire to return to Scotland, while de Vries is being linked with a move to both Saints and Dundee United, where he'd link up with former manager Craig Levein. However, the pair are likely to be on far too much money for Saints - plus they are past it and probably not up to the task. Hopefully this rumour isn't true!
The Express, meanwhile, claims that John Sutton and David van Zanten could be on their way to Swansea City. The Welsh side had their manager watching both players during Saturday's win over Motherwell. However, The Sun suggests he was actually looking into a link up with the Fir Park side as he used to play for the Steelmen.
Nonetheless, this could be bad news for Saints. Sutton is, of course, out of contract but van Zanten is not, so we'd be due a little bit of money for him. It would be nice if Sutton stayed, but if there's any interest from a club playing in the English leagues we'll probably lose him.
One player definitely leaving is Tony Bullock. The former Dundee United and Ross County goalkeeper did well for Saints earlier in the season, but has been told his contract is not being renewed.
