Smith Not Buying Saints

Mirren Mad had heard about a week or so before this story appeared in various press outlets that Gilmour had rejected a bid from Walter Smith to take over at Love Street. Why he rejected it we don't know, but now it seems these rumours were total fiction.

Mirren Mad had also heard rumours that former Rangers player Mark Hateley was involved in some sort of buy out. Would he be involved with Smith either as a financer or the new manager? He was linked with the Saints job when Tom Hendrie got it so it is possible.

Unfortunately it looks like we're stuck with the current board for the time being, but if Hateley did become involved with Saints just think of the team suits!
