The comments were made in a pre-match interview with BBC Scotland's Chic Young, where Gilmour said he hoped to have a construction schedule announced in a few weeks time, with work beginning shortly after that. It seems from reading various things it will be a ten month contract, which would mean its finished at the start of next season by the earliest.
An SPL rule means that if we wish to move ground during a season, we have to wait until we've played every team at one ground before making the switch. That's assuming we're in the SPL next season.
Considering Gilmour said a few months ago that work would start shortly after the Glasgow Fair, the whole situation is very strange to say the least.
