By comparison, he scored 30 goals in two seasons for Saints, among them the winning goal in the League Challenge Cup Final and a hat trick at Brechin City. Ironically, given his new club, his finest hour came at Fir Park in May 2007 when he scored two of the goals in our remarkable 3-2 victory over Motherwell, including the late winner.
John - brother of Chris - left Saints shortly after that match claiming it was for football reasons, then signed for a League Two side who probably offered him loads of cash. He didn't do too well there and has now returned to Scotland and he'll no doubt become the latest in a long line of former players to score against us!
