It's been relatively quiet on the takeover front since the club was put up for sale back in September, with this being the first decent news for a while. Supposedly two parties were interested and were quite happy with the club's finances and the way it was being run, but decided against the move due to the state of Scottish football. Would it not have been a good idea to look at that first? And the poor state of the national game is hardly a secret!
Rumours on the web suggest one of the bidders involved people from Poland, while stories Kevin Keegan was involved with one offer appear to be untrue.
