10000Hours - the brainchild of Saints directors Richard Atkinson and Chris Stewart - require a minimum of 300 supporters to sign up for individual pledges. More than 700 had said they would do so and now more than 300 have completed the necessary paperwork to donate £10 a month. On that side of things, there aren't any problem.
However, there is still a shortage of corporate pledges - worth £10,000 a year - and community pledges, which cost £500 a year. Now, if the 700 fans who have pledged their support all agreed to pay £10 a month those shortfalls would be irrelevant. But Mirren Mad believes 10000Hours requires a set number of each type of pledge to convince the funders to give us their cash and at the moment that isn't happening.
They do, however, say they have held positive talks with the final two funding agencies required to contribute to the £2million takeover price and hope to hear from them in due course.
