Tesselaar's contract expires in the summer and he and fellow Dutchman Nigel Hasselbaink have yet to agree new deals, with improved offers being made to both players last week. Tesselaar, who has excelled at fullback this season, had been thought the more likely of the pair to stay but news of Dundee United's interest may change things.
The deal would make sense for the Tannadice club with left-back Paul Dixon looking likely to leave during the summer. Tesselaar would be an ideal - and free replacement - but the move would leave us with a huge hole to fill in defence.
