While the rest of the country is working itself into a frenzy about fringe players being sent on loan for a few months it is once again a quiet deadline day for the Buddies. Gaffer Danny Lennon said at the end of last week he didn't expect there would be any business - a claim he repeated to journalists yesterday.
This is a pity. We could really use another defender and we are trying to solve our goalscoring problems by loaning out one of the few strikers we have and bringing a forward who is more a creater than a scorer.
On the plus side we haven't lost anyone - Kenny McLean and Paul McGowan are staying put while Jim Goodwin has signed a new contract.
So not a brilliant transfer window but not a disaster. Could be worse. We could be Rangers.
