Partick were the worst team in the SPL last season by miles. However, they thought they had been saved when Caley won division 1. Without a groundshare agreement ready by the appropriate deadline, they were voted out. However, Hearts and Hibs called for a second vote, which was allowed as it turned out the SPL didn't know their own rules.
Partick tried every trick in the book to save themselves, demanding £1million compensation and trying for an interdict. However, these failed, and today Caley were voted in by 10 votes to 2.
This is good news for Saints as Partick will bring more fans to Love Street, meaning we may be able to bring in another player or two. Here's hoping!
