The trio are the only players out of contract at the club not to be offered a new one. Paul McGowan and Craig Samson were offered deals but will be going elsewhere, with Paul Dummett, Conor Newton and Esmael Goncalves only here on loan.
Carey has endured a frustrating two years since returning to Paisley, having enjoyed a successful spell on loan from Celtic in 2010. The winger was never able to produce those impressive performances on a consistent basis and often seemed to have issues with his weight and fitness. On his day he could take a terrific free-kick and liked scoring from long range - particularly against Hearts, his strike against them winning him goal of the season earlier this week. His delivery was pretty handy and it's unfortunate it hasn't worked out for him. No doubt he'll return to haunt us with another SPL club in the future.
The same probably can't be said for Parkin. The big striker was signed from Queen of the South in the summer, much to the surprise of many Buddies. He managed just three goals during his time at the club - one a thumping header against Ross County and another against Aberdeen in the League Cup. He always worked hard but the form of Steven Thompson kept him out of the side for most of the campaign.
Good luck to them in the future - especially as they were both subs in our League Cup Final glory. Puri was signed just before that game until the end of the season, with an option for another year. As he's played less than an hour of first team football since it's unsurprising to see the Estonian international binned.
Lennon has also hinted a few other first team players that are under contract could be set to leave, although wouldn't say who. It is thought as many as four players could be leaving and Dougie Imrie and Grant Adam have already been strongly linked with moves away. It also wouldn't be a surprise to see Lewis Guy leave after Saturday's bust-up with assistant manager Tommy Craig.
