There were rumours linking him with Turkish clubs, along with a few English Championship sides, earlier in the season after his five goal haul against East Stirlingshire. It seems a few Turkish sides - Gaziantepspor, Genclerbirligi and Kasýmpasa - have kept an eye on his progress and his recent hattrick against Alloa Athletic has rekindled their interest.
Although Mehmet is signed up until the end of the season, it is possible one of these clubs could make a move to sign him before the end of the January transfer window. Losing him now would be a major blow, especially if no replacement was brought in.
