When Lennon was appointed during the week he said there were a few lower league players he felt could make the step up to the top flight with a bit of coaching. Going by today's papers, it would seem centre half Mbu is one of them. The former Armadale Thistle and Whitburn players has done well in the two years he has been at Central Park, but it's a big jump to the SPL. There's also the small fact that he has just signed a new contract at Cowdenbeath, meaning they're unlikely to let him go.
In other Blue Brazil related news, it seems Iain Jenkins will shortly be appointed Lennon's number two at Saints after they confirmed he had left the club.
The Gallacher rumour surfaced a few weeks ago when we didn't have a manager (hence it not being a separate story this time around). Apparently, St. Johnstone have offered him a three year deal and we seem willing to let him go. With Chris Smith and Mark Howard also on the wage bill we could do with getting rid of a keeper, but Gallacher isn't the one I'd choose. he's probably the best of the three and played all but two games for us last season, so letting him go to a rival for a small fee is a weird decision.
