Saints went ahead in the first half thanks to a Ricky Gillies penalty. St. Johnstone equalised through a free kick in the second, when Kris Robertson once again pretended to be David James and let the ball slip through his fingers. Seconds later, Saints had another penalty, but Gillies missed it. After the game, Robertson was reported to the police by a ball boy, who claims Robertson shouted abuse at him after the St. Johnstone goal. of course, the fact the ballboy shouted abuse at Kris first is fine!
That could well be Gillies' last Saints game, although he looks likely to play some part on Saturday. Gillies, along with Ludo Roy, is set to leave in the summer, although the good news is that Martin Cameron might stay. Mark Roberts and Ally Mitchell are also expected to be offered new deals, whilst it is expected Chris Kerr and Paul Rudden won't be.
Former Saints player Mark Yardley continues to lead Albion Rovers' title challenge. The big man scored both the Rovers' goals in last weeks win, and with 2 games left they could still win the league.
Finally, former Saint Barry Lavety, who was interviewed on Mirren Mad a few months ago, is on the lookout for a new club in Scotland. Basher helped steer Team Bath to the title recently, and several Saints fans have said they would love to see Basher back in the Black and White.
