The Ayrshire side, who we face on Wednesday, needed to win to keep alive any fears we could still finish in the play-offs. They've a great record at Tynecastle so it was possible, however they were gubbed 5-0 and remain in second bottom.
They are five points behind us with two games left. They could pass us, but doing that would involve winning their last two games - meaning the most Hibs could get would be three points from their game against Ross County on Tuesday. As the Staggies are four points behind us after yesterday there's no way all three teams - plus Partick - can now pass us.
Considering we had one point after six games it's incredible that we're safe with two games left - and are in pole position to finish seventh!
