The players in question are Anton Brady, Jason Naismith and Sean Kelly. Two others - Mo Yaqub and Jack Smith - have also been offered deals but have yet to sign them.
Naismith has been loaned out to Morton and Cowdenbeath this season and it's a bit of a surprise to see him staying on as he didn't play very often at Cappielow. Fellow defender Kelly spent time at East Stirling earlier in the campaign, with striker Brady making his debut in Saints' final game of the season against Kilmarnock.
Meanwhile, Welsh under-19 international Jordan Holt - who impressed for the under-20s this season - has been released along with Michael Fulton, Ross Meechan, Gary Whyte and Brian Coyle.
