Every so often, I'll post details of rumours that have appeared somewhere, such as a website or in the papers, about players possibly signing for or leaving Saints. If a rumour is confirmed as being true or false, I'll say as much in the next issue. However, if he signs or leaves without appearing here, he won't be mentioned. Make sense? (this is the same blurb as from last summer, I can't be bothered wwriting a new one!).
As this is the first edition since last summer, I'll list the players at the bottom we ended up not signing. There's quite a few! I wonder if we'll sign any this time around...
For the record, this is a list of rumours, rather than folk people have said they'd quite like us to sign.

Chris Atkin: He plays for Stirling Albion, which is about all I know of him!
Dyron Daal: Saints were linked with the former Aberdeen striker - who scored a shedload of goals while on loan with Dundee last season - a few weeks back. He was supposed to be heading for the USA, but I can't find any confirmation so he might still be available.
Craig Dargo: The Inverness Caley Thistle striker is out of contract but has been offered a new deal. Falkirk and Motherwell are also after him. Would be nice, but money will probably dictate that he goes elsewhere.
Kenny Deuchar: The Good Doctor scored loads of goals in the lower leagues with Gretna, but is untested in the SPL. Could end up staying with Mileson's men.
Mark de Vries: The former Hearts man was linked with a move to Love Street a few weeks back. Has a physical presence but a bit injury prone.
Kris Gate: The young defender has been released by Newcastle United and could prove adecent signing. However, Gretna want him - so we've no chance.
Dougie Imrie: A Clyde player - so we'll almost certainly sign him!
John Kennedy: Celtic are looking to send the fit again defender out on loan to get some match practice for the first few months of next season. Saints are one of several clubs being linked with him.
Mark McAllister: The Irish striker turned down a move to Celtic a few weeks back as he wanted first team football. However, clubs such as Norwich, Derby and St. Johnstone (shudder) also want him).
David McCracken: Dundee United want rid of the defender and he'd be a decent signing for us. However, a few clubs down south want him.
Jim McIntyre: Someone on another site claims that the Dunfermline man has told a mate he's coming to Love Street. However, his contract with the Pars has a year left to run. A bit injury prone, but played with Gus at Kilmarnock. Saints apparently just missed out on him to the first division newcomers last summer.
Michael Mols: This was a back page story on The Sun shortly after the Motherwell game. However, it looks like the former Rangers striker is going to Australia. Thank god!
David Scullion: An Irish midfielder who scored quite a few goals in his home land last season - could be worth a punt.
Cillian Sheridan: I know nothing about the Celtic youngster, but we're apparently getting him on a season long loan. As long as he's not as bad as Paul Lawson.
Gavin Swankie: The Dundee right winger has apparently done well this season after a torrid time under Alan Kernaghan. Would he cut it in the SPL if the rumour turns out to be true?

Gus MacPherson: Someone on another site has linked him with the Hearts job! Extremely unlikely.
John Sutton: The striker's contract expires tonight and there's no sign of him penning a new deal. He looks almost certain to be leaving. Swansea, Motherwell, Falkirk and Inverness Caley Thistle are just some of the teams wanting him.
David van Zanten: Like Sutton, Vanzy has been linked with a move to Swansea. At least we'd get some money for him.
CONFIRMED
Nothing yet as it's the first edition, although technically the news about Tony Bullock leaving in the last edition last summer is now true!
NOT HAPPENING
Paul di Giacomo: Nothing ever came of the rumour surrounding the Killie frontman.
Gary Holt: The midfielder stayed at Notts Forest - although he's now been released. Maybe he'll sign this time around!
Chris Katongo: A random striker we were apparently interested in - nothing came of it.
Ian Maxwell: The defender was linked with a move away, but he stayed.
Dean McDonald: An Ipswich player who I know as much about as I did this time last year!
Tam McManus: Thankfully the wee ned chose Falkirk, then Dunfermline (who he proceeded to score for at Love Street). Enjoy the first division chump.
Charlie Miller: There was interest in the former Rangers man as late as January, but he's now playing in Belgium.
Alex Neil: The midfielder stayed at Hamilton.
Nacho Novo: HAHAHAHA. Although it made the PDE last year!
Keigan Parker: Stayed at Blackpool and helped them into the Championship.
Lee Peacock: Nothing ever came of the story linking us with the Swindon striker.
Gavin Strachan: The Celtic manager's son is now plying his trade with Peterborough - who are managed by Alex Ferguson's son!
Chris Sutton: Another unlikely one to make the PDE, he chose Aston Villa. But he's available again, and his brother might stay...
Robbie Winters: The former Aberdeen man stayed in Norway, but was linked with Saints in January. Apparently still not happy there.
More than enough rumours to be getting on with for the moment - no doubt I've missed some out though!
