The window is set to slam shut on Tuesday at 5pm and Saints are supposedly still in the market for a couple of players, although there isn't much in the way of speculation. Here's what I can find.
IN
Bob Harris: Queen of the South leftback who was also linked with a move to the Fake Saints. Would cost a fair bit of cash so unlikely.
Steven Hammell: Another left back, this time one at Motherwell. They're unlikely to let him go, but would be competition/replacement for Mo Camara.
Allan Johnston: Not really a rumour as a contract has been offered and a response is expected soon.
Darren Mackie: Aberdeen striker who is in the first team at Pittodrie so unlikely to be much truth in this one.
Steven Smith: Nearly signed for us last season and still being linked with a loan move, although he's back in the Rangers team.
Derek Young: Part of a rumoured swap deal with Mo Camara. Will believe it when I see it!
OUT
Mo Camara: Linked with Aberdeen as part of a swap deal last week.
Andy Dorman: Actually, there hasn't been any speculation about him - for once - but there probably will be before the window shuts!
Gus MacPherson: Made up message board rumours suggest he's going down south. The fact they are nonsense didn't stop Chic Young asking the manager about it!
Billy Mehmet: Has been linked with West Brom and also a switch to Turkey.
Dennis Wyness: Has been linked with Queen of the South and Morton - both probably made up stories.
CONFIRMED
Will Haining: No contract was offered and he left, ending up at Morcambe.
Michael Higdon: The deal was as good as done when the last issue came out and, sure enough, he signed.
Gary Mason: He was offered a new deal but it was withdrawn due to Setanta's collapse. Recently signed for Hamilton.
Marc McAusland: A contract was offered but he opted for first team football with Queen of the South.
NOT HAPPENING
Mark Brown: We needed another keeper, but we signed Paul Gallacher.
Scott Cuthbert: Many people would have liked to see him sign for us permanently, but he went to Swindon instead.
Craig Dargo: Was linked with a departure but he signed a new deal.
Jamie Langfield: Hardly any chance of this deal coming off originally and that vanished when Gallacher signed.
Brian McLean: An offer was made but he ended up joining Falkirk.
Keigan Parker: No idea if we were after him but he signed for Oldham.
Craig Samson: Was training with us but fortunately it came to nothing and he went to Ayr United.
Graeme Smith: Signed for St. Johnstone.
Derek Soutar: Stayed at Ross County.
Stefan Stam: Might have been a decent signing but he joined Falkirk.
Marc Twaddle: No idea if we were back in for him or not but he ended up back at Falkirk.
Not much to go on then, but hopefully something will happen before Tuesday - and the chances of a potential not being listed above are pretty good!
